The student youth of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute are making a worthy contribution to the dynamic advancement of the agricultural sector of our sunny Homeland. A reliable center for training highly qualified agricultural specialists – the Turkmen Agricultural Institute – is fully equipped with modern scientific and innovative educational technologies, interactive multimedia tools, and advanced computer facilities. This creates wide opportunities for students to master cutting-edge technologies, deepen scientific knowledge, and strengthen their educational and professional competencies, thereby enhancing the overall effectiveness of the learning process.

In line with the objectives set forth in the “Concept for the Development of the Digital Education System in Turkmenistan”, its Implementation Plan, as well as the “Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan”, the Institute is carrying out targeted activities aimed at integrating digital technologies into the educational process, training specialists for the digital economy, modernizing the educational and laboratory base, and introducing new technical resources and innovative teaching methods.

The extensive introduction of digital technologies and high-speed internet connectivity has made it possible to organize distance learning, online seminars, and video conferences between higher and secondary vocational educational institutions of our country, as well as with international partner universities and scientific-educational centers.

It is a matter of special pride that the Turkmen Agricultural Institute has been included in the prestigious international rankings “Times Higher Education World University Rankings” and “UI GreenMetric World University Rankings”, which testifies to the international recognition of its high academic standards.

Of particular significance is the establishment of the “Hydromelioration” Laboratory on the Institute’s premises. Which is equipped with modern equipment, the laboratory provides students with opportunities to study technologies of efficient water use and to practically explore the regulation of water pressure and flow in irrigation canals using modern measuring devices.

Within the framework of international cooperation, the Institute is implementing the project “NICOPA – New and Innovative Courses for Precision Agriculture”, funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme through the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission. As part of this initiative, a high-tech Virtual Classroom of the Geoinformation Center has been established and is functioning successfully, where students study the fundamentals of geodesy and cadastre.

In addition, the Institute operates a Virtual Classroom for Automation and a Training Room for Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Systems, enabling students to acquire practical digital design and engineering skills.

At present, the institute features modern training laboratories equipped with high-performance agricultural machinery from world-renowned companies such as CLAAS, JOHN DEERE, and KOMATSU. In these classrooms, students study the structure, operating principles, and maintenance of agricultural machinery. Such practical training fosters a deep professional interest, enthusiasm, and dedication among students toward their chosen fields, while strengthening their applied skills.

Gifted and motivated students of the Institute actively participate in sowing campaigns for cotton and wheat, in harvesting grain and cotton crops, as well as in seasonal agricultural works, applying their acquired knowledge and skills under real production conditions, including through the use of digital technologies.

Computer classrooms and electronic libraries of the Institute is integrated into a unified network system, providing students and faculty with efficient access to educational materials, textbooks, and manuals, as well as to international academic and scientific literature, new technologies, and the latest achievements in science and engineering. The library continues to expand its electronic information resources and digital archives.

Moreover, the Turkmen Agricultural Institute has developed an internal educational platform – the TOHI-Portal – which includes personal accounts for lecturers and students. Through their personal pages, lecturers can view schedules, upload test materials, record grades, monitor attendance and academic performance, fill out electronic journals, and manage other academic functions.
