Overview:

The regional project 101082976-HWCA-ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE "Strengthening Higher Education in the Water Sector for Climate Resilience and Security in Central Asia" (HWCA), funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ program, is dedicated to building capacity in Water Governance and Water Diplomacy across Central Asia. The project connects prominent European and Central Asian academic institutions, including the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, to address climate change and water scarcity challenges.

    Key Objectives:
  • Curriculum Modernization: updating existing and developing new innovative Master's degree programs (MA/MSc) incorporating Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), water diplomacy, and innovative green approaches;
  • Capacity Building: enhancing the professional and linguistic competencies of academic staff through specialized training courses and short-term mobility programs at EU universities;
  • Regional & International Collaboration: fostering academic networks, scientific innovation, and continuous professional development among partner institutions.

Through the HWCA project, the Turkmen Agricultural Institute actively contributes to preparing a new generation of agricultural and water management experts equipped with modern tools for climate resilience and sustainable development.
