A scientific and practical conference dedicated to World Environment Day was held

A scientific and practical conference on the topic “The policy of our esteemed President in the field of environmental protection is the key to the ecological well-being of our country and the happy life of our people” was held at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute dedicated to World Environment Day.

Issues such as the activities of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, the activities of countries in the region to improve the environmental situation in the context of a changing climate and the integrated use of the region’s water resources were discussed in detail. further strengthening of cooperation in solving water management, environmental and socio-economic problems, as well as relations with international organizations.

Following the general conference, the scientific and practical council adopted the following resolutions there are five sections: “The state environmental policy of the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan is the basis for sustainable development and a green economy”, “Protection of the external environment is an important direction of the state policy of Turkmenistan and international cooperation”, “Preservation of biodiversity is one of the important issues of sustainable development”, “Current issues of improving the environmental situation in the Aral Sea region of Turkmenistan” and “Environmental education, upbringing and culture are important and current issues of our time”.

The issues discussed included environmental protection, public health, biodiversity, rational use of land and water resources, ensuring environmental safety, and the use of digital technologies in environmental protection.

The work carried out in our country to protect the environment and maintain environmental sustainability confirms that the state fully fulfills its international obligations in this area.
