Event Dedicated to Environmental Diplomacy Was Held

The esteemed President of Turkmenistan addressed the high-level plenary meeting of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly and put forward a number of initiatives. One of these initiatives is that Turkmenistan aims to continue its work on environmental issues and climate change, and to consistently consider them as a fundamental approach to ensuring security and creating multilateral instruments for monitoring climatic, environmental, and technogenic phenomena.

From this perspective, the student scientific club “GeoGIS” under the Department of Agricultural Land Reclamation at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute recently held a group test competition titled “The Role of Environmental Diplomacy in Water and Climate Management in Turkmenistan.” Students from various scientific clubs of the Institute participated in the competition. The contest was held in two stages, and it was active, engaging, and intense. The students demonstrated their knowledge and skills by answering test questions.

During the competition, students broadly discussed environmental culture and the importance of rational water use. Based on the jury’s assessment, the team of students who showed high results were awarded Certificates of Honor and memorable gifts. The event, organized by the student scientific club “GeoGIS,” was of great importance in raising students’ environmental awareness.
